    Search engines and AI search look at different things. This check scores each of them separately.

    Search engine optimization (SEO): 30 checks Whether the page can appear in search results at all, the title and description (judged by display width), whether the canonical URL points to itself, heading hierarchy, amount of body content, whether the title's words appear in the opening, link text, HTTPS and mixed content, mobile friendliness, URL structure, image alt text and width/height, internal links, robots.txt, sitemap, server response time, total page weight, image optimization, and real world loading speed for actual visitors (Core Web Vitals), among others.
    AI search optimization (LLMO / AIO): 14 checks Whether AI crawlers are blocked, llms.txt, structured data and its types, FAQ and breadcrumb structured data, publisher information, author information, publish and update dates, whether it has been updated within the past year, whether the conclusion comes first, question style headings, links to sources, and whether it is being cited in AI generated overviews, among others.

    What is AI search optimization (LLMO)?

    ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews do not return a list of results. They read a handful of pages and write a single answer. The pages that get picked are the ones where the answer comes first, the author is clear, and a machine can parse the content. Two pages can rank the same and still differ on whether they get cited. And if robots.txt blocks AI crawlers, even a great article is excluded from the start.

    How is my email address used?

    It is used to send you the results report. We will also sign you up for our newsletter and send you SEO and AI search tips and updates from Sorabun. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and one click stops it. Once you unsubscribe, we will not send anything further. We do not pass your address on to third parties.     Can I check a site that is not built on WordPress?

    Yes. The check just reads a published page, so it works regardless of how your site is built.

    Can you check my whole site?

    This check only looks at the one page you enter, plus robots.txt, llms.txt, and sitemap.xml. That is to avoid putting load on your server, so we do not crawl the whole site. We recommend trying both your homepage and one of your key articles.

    Why do I sometimes see fewer than 45 items?

    Items that could not be measured, or that do not apply to this page, are excluded from scoring. For example, Google does not have real user speed data for low traffic sites. And we will not ask for FAQ structured data on a page with no question style headings. If we scored "could not measure" as zero, that would lower your score for reasons outside your control, so those items are not counted toward or against your score.

    What should I do if the score is low?

    The results show how to fix each item. Your report page breaks the fix order into three groups: "Fixable today in 30 minutes," "Theme and server settings," and "Change how you write," along with the points you would gain from fixing each. Work through them from the top.
