Your remaining balance always shows in the dashboard, such as "Remaining: 12 / 30 articles." Once you use up your allowance, new article generation gets queued instead of failing, and picks back up on the 1st of next month, or with a single article (¥500) or a 10-article pack (¥3,980). Monthly allowances reset every month; there's no rollover. Single articles and packs never expire and are used after the monthly allowance runs out. Features that just display, such as podcast distribution, short links, and selling paid articles, never stop even at zero.
The only difference from the Pro edition is the key that calls the AI. The body text and search fact-checking are fixed to Gemini and search runs on Serper, so Claude, Grok, and DeepSeek aren't selectable. Images (Gemini / OpenAI) and audio (Fish Audio / OpenAI) still are. Frequently Asked Questions
Do I really not need an API key?
That's right, you don't. The AI for body text, images, audio, and search all gets called by Sorabun's own servers on your behalf. Each vendor's key lives only on Sorabun's servers and never reaches your site. There's no Google or OpenAI account to create, no credit card to register, and no key to copy and paste.
Does Sorabun store my manuscripts on its servers?
No. Your content only passes through our servers at the moment of generation; what we keep is the count, type, data size, and timestamp of each request. We send everything to AI vendors on a paid tier whose terms exclude it from training. If you need to keep manuscripts inside your own API contract entirely, such as for client work, choose the Bring Your Own Key Pro edition instead.
What happens after my 3 trial articles?
Once you use up your trial allowance, new article generation gets queued instead of failing. Every article, setting, and piece of history you've built stays exactly as it is. To keep going, buy a single article, the 10-article pack, or a plan from My Page (log in with the email address you applied with). Single articles and packs are simply added to your current key, so there's nothing else you need to redo. There is no need to reinstall the ZIP, either. You can also switch to the Pro edition (bring your own key) at any time.
Can I roll unused articles over to next month?
Monthly allowances don't roll over; they reset on the 1st of every month. If you're running short, you can add a single article (¥500) or a 10-article pack (¥3,980). Those are one-time purchases that never expire, and they're used after the monthly allowance runs out.
Can I use it on more than one site?
Yes. Your allowance is tied to one key, and every site that key is registered on shares it. Cloud 80 lets you register that key on up to 3 sites, and Cloud 200 on up to 10, and you can draw on the combined article count from any of them.
I'm already using Sorabun Pro. Can I switch to Cloud?
Yes. Just overwrite your current Sorabun install with the Cloud edition's ZIP file. Your articles, settings, and history all stay exactly as they are. You can switch back from Cloud to Pro the same way, too.
What does AIO/LLMO optimization actually do?
It reshapes the article's structure into a form AI can cite. Concretely: putting the conclusion right after the heading (conclusion-first), building out question-and-answer pairs, adding a TL;DR at the top, stating figures and sources explicitly, and outputting FAQ structured data. Polishing the prose alone doesn't get an article cited in an AI answer.
You choose from SEO / AIO / LLMO / GEO / Hybrid depending on what you're targeting. AIO targets Google's AI Overviews, LLMO targets ChatGPT and other LLMs, and GEO targets generative search engines like Perplexity. If you're not sure which to pick, leave it on Hybrid, which blends all of them and is the default. It can be set per article. Whether you actually got cited can be checked daily in the "AI Overview" column on the Rank Tracking screen.
Is it safe to publish generated articles as-is?
By default, everything saves as a draft, so a person reviews it before it goes live. You can even review and edit the outline before the article is written. Fully automatic publishing and scheduled posting are both available if you'd rather hand off the whole loop.
Can I use it from Claude Code or Cursor?
Yes. A WordPress site running the Pro or Cloud edition becomes an MCP server on its own. From Claude Code, it's one line with claude mcp add; for Cursor or Windsurf, you just add the URL and API key to a config file. A client that can't attach a header, like Claude Desktop, connects through mcp-remote instead. The "REST API / MCP integration" settings screen shows copy-and-paste setup steps for each one.
All it can do is create articles, rewrite them, check progress, and read articles, eight tools in total. It can't change settings or delete articles, and publish status defaults to draft.
Does it work with any WordPress theme?
Yes. Sorabun works with any theme without breaking your layout. It auto-detects the Cocoon and SWELL theme frameworks and uses their native styling classes for callouts and highlights; on every other theme (including all the major English-language ones), it falls back to universal, theme-agnostic formatting.
Is there an extra cost for rank tracking?
No. The Cloud edition includes the cost of search data (Serper). Connect the free Google Site Kit plugin and you can also pull in real Search Console numbers (impressions, clicks, and average position) at no extra cost.
Can I use an AI model other than Gemini?
On the Cloud edition, the body text and search fact-checking are fixed to Gemini (Sorabun's servers choose the model, so you never have to update a setting when prices change or a new generation ships). You can still choose Gemini or OpenAI for images, and Fish Audio or OpenAI for audio. If you'd rather write with ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or DeepSeek, choose the Bring Your Own Key Pro edition instead.
Can it create things besides articles?
Yes. On Pro, one click turns a generated article into a social post thread and a YouTube script at the same time. Automatic translation into Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish is also available, so you can run a multilingual site from a single source article.
Do I need a separate podcast hosting plan?
No. Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and Audible all work the same way: register your RSS feed URL once, and every episode after that is picked up automatically from then on. Sorabun generates that feed inside your own WordPress install, so there's no hosting subscription (typically $10-30/month elsewhere) and no extra API key to manage. The only ongoing cost is the text-to-speech API you use (Fish Audio or OpenAI TTS), billed by usage.
Does publishing a podcast episode need manual work every time?
No. You register your feed URL with each platform once; every episode after that reaches listeners automatically, usually within a few hours. Turn on "publish as soon as the audio is ready" and the whole path from article to episode runs with nobody touching it. You can also review and publish each episode by hand if you'd rather.
Can it create Pages, not just blog posts?
Yes. Each time you generate an article, you choose Post or Page. That's useful for content you don't want sorted by date, such as an About page, a pricing page, or an FAQ page. Set your usual default in Settings, then override it on the article creation screen whenever one piece needs to be the other type.
Choosing Page means no category gets attached, since WordPress Pages don't have categories. Pages are also excluded from the Rank Tracking and Site Diagnosis totals, which only look at blog posts. In-article CTAs, paid articles, and LINE-exclusive content all still work the same way on a Page.
Does it work alongside Yoast SEO or Rank Math?
Yes. Sorabun auto-detects Yoast SEO or Rank Math and writes directly into their meta title and meta description fields. If neither is active, Sorabun outputs its own meta tags instead.
