Automatic Quoting of Related X Posts
Search X for posts related to an article's topic and quote the ones that meet conditions such as likes and language, as embeds. This page covers the conditions you can set, X API costs, and how quotes are handled.
Bring real voices into the article
Sorabun can search for X posts related to the article's topic and quote them in embedded form. Use this for review articles or explainers on trending topics, when you want to show real user reactions.
What conditions can you set?
Set the conditions under "Settings > Automatic Quoting of Related X Posts".
| Item | Setting key | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Bearer token | x_bearer_token | Authentication credential for the X API |
| Number to quote | xposts_count | How many posts to quote per article |
| Number to search | xposts_candidates | How many candidates to choose from |
| Minimum likes | xposts_min_likes | Posts below this count are not used |
| Language | xposts_lang | The language to target |
| Verified only | xposts_verified_only | Whether to limit to verified accounts |
| Media only | xposts_media_only | Whether to limit to posts with images or video |
The X search API requires a paid plan, and cost scales with the number of requests. Increasing xposts_candidates also increases cost, so start with a small value and test.
Because posts are quoted using X's official embed format, a post disappears from your article too if its author deletes it. In case the content of a quoted post turns out to be inappropriate, we recommend reviewing it as a draft rather than publishing automatically.
