CTA and Click-Through Rate Tracking
Place a CTA box inside your articles and see which ones drive clicks
Turning readers into action
Under the "CTA / Click-Through Rate" tab in "Sorabun > Measure / Analyze," you can set up a CTA box (heading, description, button, and supplementary note) to place inside your articles. Create a site-wide default, then override or hide it per article.
Placement
- End of the article
- Beginning of the article
- Both beginning and end
Reading the click-through rate
Sorabun records the click-through rate for each article and ranks them from highest to lowest, so you can see which articles actually drove action.
An impression is counted as the number of times the CTA actually entered the viewport, not the number of times the article was opened. If a reader leaves without scrolling to it, it isn't counted as an impression, which keeps the click-through rate close to reality. Counting stays accurate even when page caching is active.
Excluded from measurement:
- Users with editing permissions (your own clicks aren't counted)
- Articles with fewer than 30 impressions are marked "Not enough data" (a rate based on a small sample isn't reliable)
Per-article settings and numbers
The article editor screen has a "Sorabun CTA" panel. Besides settings like overriding or hiding the CTA for just that article, you can also check that article's impressions, clicks, and click-through rate here.
Example uses
- Change the destination to match the article's content (a sign-up page for comparison articles, a materials request for beginner guides)
- Apply the writing style of high-click-through articles to other articles
- For articles with an extremely low click-through rate, reconsider the CTA's wording or how well it fits the article
