Site Diagnosis and Advisory Mode

Have your site's foundation examined first, since it improves every article you create afterward

Doing this first makes everything after easier

In "Sorabun > Site Diagnosis," you can have your site's foundation examined from an SEO perspective. Doing this before you start creating articles improves the accuracy of every article you create from then on.

If you're already running a site, let Sorabun read it

If you have 3 or more published articles or pages, a "Read from current site" button appears above the form. Click it and Sorabun reads your current site to fill in the fields below.

It reads your published articles (up to 30) and pages (up to 5). Pages like About Us, Services, or a profile page are read first, since they tend to state what the site is and who runs it more clearly than articles do. Drafts aren't read.

For articles, it reads the 12 newest plus 18 spread evenly from there back to your oldest article, along with the total count, the date range, and how many were published each year. Reading only the newest articles would mistake a topic you started recently for what the site is about (a theme you've written about for years could vanish from the reading just because it isn't in your latest posts).

The first-article ideas from "Get AI diagnosis" are also checked against the titles of articles you've already written (up to 300), back to the oldest, so it won't suggest a theme you covered years ago as a new article.

Read past articles (Pro)

If you have articles written before installing Sorabun, the Site Diagnosis screen shows "Read past articles." Clicking it analyzes those articles one by one, gives each a review date, and ranks which to work on first. It works the same as Existing Article Audit, and the results appear on that screen.

Once the fields are filled in, you'll see "Read N article(s) and N page(s)," along with what it based each answer on. If anything doesn't match how you'd describe your own site, correct it before moving on.

What you enter

• What you want to achieve
• Competitor sites you're watching (up to 10, one per line)

Enter multiple competitors and Sorabun researches all of them via search, then compares their strong angles and their gaps to build its suggestions.

Target area

Enter something like "Sapporo and the surrounding area" and articles on region-related topics will take that region's rules, prices, climate, and transportation into account. Add this if your site is aimed at readers searching within a specific region.

Leave it blank if you're aiming nationwide or mainly online. Sorabun won't force a place name into topics that have nothing to do with a region.

Things worth adding alongside Sorabun

Below the diagnosis form, you'll find plugins that fill in what Sorabun can't do on its own. This isn't a generic list of recommendations. Each one is listed only because there's a specific way Sorabun's own behavior falls short without it.

If something serving the same role is already installed, it won't even appear. If you're using Yoast SEO or Rank Math, the SEO plugin suggestion won't show up at all, and Sorabun finds it and writes into it instead.

If you selected "Gather inquiries and leads," a contact form plugin appears; if your server runs LiteSpeed, LiteSpeed Cache appears. Each shows up only in that situation. Nothing is recommended in an environment where it wouldn't work.

When settings overlap

Yoast SEO, Rank Math, and All in One SEO each output their own structured data (Article) for articles. Sorabun outputs it too, so two copies end up on the same page. Nothing breaks, but both will be output with mismatched dates or authors, so settle on just one.

A notice appears on the diagnosis screen only when this situation applies. SEO SIMPLE PACK only outputs meta tags and doesn't output structured data, so this notice never appears for it.

Author and reviewer (E-E-A-T)

There are fields, like medicine, law, or tax, where the qualification or standing behind the writer is itself part of an article's weight. This is especially true for topics involving health or money, what's known in SEO as YMYL (short for "Your Money or Your Life"), where an article is treated differently once nobody can tell who wrote it, even with the same content.

But this is exactly what tends to fall through the cracks when AI writes the article. AI doesn't hold any qualifications, so left alone, it fills the page with phrases like "it is generally said that...". The article ends up losing any sense that a particular person wrote it.

Register your details once under "Author and reviewer" in "Sorabun > Settings," and it's put to use in three ways.

1. "Write from this standing" gets added to the article-writing instructions. Instead of retreating into generalities, the article explains the reasoning behind its judgments
2. The author in the structured data becomes a qualified person, not just a name (job title, organization, qualifications, and external pages that confirm it's really you)
3. It can be shown at the end of the article (off by default)

You can choose whether this person is presented as the one who wrote the article or the one who reviewed it. Choosing reviewer doesn't replace the article's author; it adds this person as the reviewer instead.

The display at the end of the article is off by default. Turn it on and it appears only on articles Sorabun created (a reviewer credit on an article you wrote by hand would be inaccurate, so it's excluded).

When Site Diagnosis detects a health, money, or law related field and no author has been registered yet, the diagnosis screen recommends registering one. It doesn't appear for anyone outside these fields.

What the diagnosis tells you

• Site name suggestions (3): if your current name is fine, it will say "no need to change it"
• Tagline suggestions
• Category structure
• Differentiation angle: where you can win against your competitors
• Five articles to write first: each with a search intent (know / do / buy / go) and how realistic it is for this site to rank for it right now (easy / moderate / tough)
• A 3-step plan

You can generate any suggested article on the spot with "Create this article." You can also send them to bulk creation all at once.

Any suggestion you adopt can be applied to your site name or tagline with one button. You can also choose to create the suggested categories or apply them to your default writing style and optimization type.

Your Site Health Report (the main event once you've diagnosed)

Once you save a diagnosis, the top of the Site Diagnosis screen turns into a Site Health Report. It's recalculated from your actual data every time you open it, so the numbers move as your site grows.

Health score (calculated from measured data, no AI involved)

• The overall score is shown with the change (↑/↓) since you last opened it
• Axes with no data aren't penalized. A site with no rank tracking set up doesn't unfairly drop to zero on that axis

This month's prescription (the AI reads the data and writes it)

Press "Create prescription" and the AI reads the score, an inventory of your existing articles, and actual ranking data, then writes the following four:

• Findings: the most important thing the data shows, with figures cited
• Three things to do this month: each backed by a reason for why it matters now
• Five articles to write next: suggestions that don't overlap with existing articles. Each has a "Write this article" button that goes straight into article generation with the keyword already filled in
• Existing articles to fix: articles whose ranking is slipping or that have gone stale

The prescription is saved with the date it was created, and you can regenerate it anytime. We recommend regenerating it once a month and comparing it against last month's.

Advisory Mode

This turns on automatically once you save a diagnosis (advice_mode). From then on, every article you create is given the following information.

• Target reader
• What you're trying to achieve
• Your differentiation angle
• Topics not to cover

In other words, articles follow your site's direction without you having to re-specify the same context every time. The same information is also passed to AI Editor-in-Chief's planning.

You can turn this on or off under "Settings > Generation defaults > Advisory Mode."
